Hi everyone!
I wanted to share a quick update and a few thoughts.
So, this week I finally finished almost all characters and adapted them for mobile templates. There are about ~40 old ones left to redo, but honestly, you probably don’t even have them 🙂
So now your Characters tab contains updated characters that are safe to use in templates and publish without issues.
I also improved something related to the Collections panel.
A lot of people asked why a collection is marked as “included” on the website but doesn’t appear in the Collections tab.
The truth is – everything you need was already available inside the Characters section. But for convenience, I decided to also display all included collections directly in the Collections tab, so it’s easier to find things.
On top of that, I added many of my collections to Basic, Pro, and Premium plans, so you now have a lot more characters available 🙂
I still haven’t had time to upload a big batch of clothing files I made specifically for the new Clothes section, but I’ll get to it soon (I promise this time 😅).
As you already know, the main feature of the latest update is template publishing.
You create a template once → publish it → and get 2 links (demo + public) that you can send to your customers.
Of course, I couldn’t just release this without testing it myself.
So I created a few templates and listed them in my Etsy shop to see what happens – feedback, issues, whatever.
The templates are only about a month old, the shop isn’t really built for B2C, and I didn’t run any ads. So I expected basically nothing for the first few months (you know Etsy… competition there is insane).
But surprisingly, it went pretty well.
In one month:
- 16 template sales
- 2 five-star reviews
Also talked to a few customers and learned some things about the mobile editor.
A few real cases:
• First customer wanted to add a bow to a dress – which wasn’t included in the template.
It was actually a great test. I opened the template, added the bow, saved it as a new project, sent her the link.
Super fast and easy. So now customer requests don’t scare me anymore 🙂
• Second customer made a print for her daughter — everything worked great, she loved it. That was just nice to hear.
• Third customer didn’t immediately understand where character layers were (hair, clothes).
She didn’t realize she needed to click the “Girl” icon.
I explained it – she figured it out – no further issues.
So overall, I liked the results of this little experiment.
In one month I made about $165 from templates.

Of course, if I focused on templates seriously, used ads, and created like 300+ templates, results would be very different.
But honestly, I don’t really enjoy making templates – I like creating new graphics more.
At the same time, I see how much nonsense is out there right now — people promising unrealistic income, throwing big numbers around.
So I just want to show real numbers based on my own experience, and maybe give you a bit of inspiration.
I’ll try to share updates like this from time to time.
(Though technically you can spy on stats yourself using tools… lol)
Anyway, I think this was a pretty productive month.
I have a lot of plans.
The app is not perfect – there are still things I don’t like.
But it works, customers are happy, prints are selling – and that’s what matters.
Wishing you lots of inspiration and good sales!
P.S. It would be nice if you leave comments here instead of emailing me directly…
otherwise it looks like I’m talking to myself 😄
