What is Portrait Creator?
Portrait Creator is our own custom-built platform, crafted with love for our customers. We know how frustrating it can be to manually assemble personalized illustrations: finding the right files, combining them, resizing layers… We wanted to make this process smooth and fun, focusing on design instead of technical hurdles.
So we built this app to help you:
- Easily create custom portraits
- Access your purchased collections from svetlanakleine.com
- Mix and match characters, outfits, accessories
- Save, edit, and download your creations with no limits
Before You Begin

Key Features
Collection Panel
Your purchased collections (from 2023 onwards) are integrated into the editor. Instead of browsing folders, you’ll see ready-made characters that can be added to your canvas in one click. You can:
- Instantly place and customize characters
- Change skin tone, hairstyle, and outfit colors via right-click menu
- Access extra character poses if included
Hairstyles
All available hairstyles are unlocked by default for subscribers. No need to hunt for styles or colors — everything is in one menu.
All the most popular styles for each of the characters.
Just right–click on the hairstyle and you will get a complete list of styles and colors for quick replacement.
Accessories
Over 1600 accessories, sorted by category and fully editable via right-click.
Drinks, Hats, Balloons, Hair Decor, Clothes Decor, Interior, Outdoor, For Face, For Hand and much more…
These are included for free and regularly updated.
Backgrounds, Overlays, Clipart
More than 2700 extra assets for you:

Character Panel
Here you’ll find all characters available to you — from your purchased collections, pre-made templates, or free subscription content. Use the smart filters to quickly find the character you need by type, pose, or gender.
Just click on a character, and it will be instantly added to your canvas.
Projects Panel
This panel contains all your saved work. You can create and save two types of projects:
Standard Projects: Loading this will replace the entire canvas and its size.
Character Projects: These allow you to add saved characters as additional layers to your current design without replacing the canvas.
This gives you the flexibility to reuse elements across multiple designs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upload my own files?
No, external uploads are not supported at the moment.
Can I mix items from different characters?
Yes! Use the “Character Projects” tab to save and reuse components.
Where can I see all items in a collection?
You don’t need to. The system loads items onto characters automatically.
Can I use a skirt from one character on another?
Yes. Place both on the canvas, ungroup and move layers as needed.
Can I add many characters to one canvas?
Yes, though performance may depend on your device.
I bought a new collection but it’s not showing up
Log out and back in. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
I have multiple accounts. Can I combine collections?
Contact us for help merging purchases.

What’s the difference between templates and collections?
Templates are pre-made projects we design. Collections include full sets. Templates are cheaper and only available inside the app.
Can I try the editor before subscribing?
Yes! A guest mode with free templates and characters is available.
Can I save multiple characters in one project?
Yes. You can save as many as you’d like.
I bought collections elsewhere (Etsy, DB). Will they work here?
No. Only purchases on svetlanakleine.com are supported. Contact us to sync accounts.
Can I share my projects via link?
Not yet, but we hope to add this in the future.
Why do I see collections I didn’t purchase?
Some are free extras for subscribers.
Will I lose my projects when my subscription ends?
No. Your projects are saved, but editing and downloading will be disabled until you renew.
I forgot my password — no reset button in the app?
Use the reset form on svetlanakleine.com. The app does not store passwords.
Why does it say “20 purchased collections” but I only see 8?
Older collections are pre-linked and will be added soon.
What’s the difference between Project and Character Project?
- Project: Replaces the entire canvas
- Character Project: Adds layers to your current canvas
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Log in at svetlanakleine.com, go to your account > subscription, and cancel. Refunds are not available.
Integrated collections
Only the collections listed on this page are integrated into the application. If you did not find the necessary collection in this list, it means that it is not integrated, and even if you purchased it on the site, you will not see it in the app.
At the moment, more than 325+ collections and 1260+ characters are integrated.
If you don‘t see any additional materials in the collection, then they are in the accessories panel.
Some older characters — especially from early chibi-style collections — have been slightly modified. For example, certain original poses included head positions with limited hairstyle or facial options. We’ve replaced these with more versatile base characters to give you access to a wider variety of hairstyles and facial features.
This is completely normal and intended to improve your creative flexibility.
Please keep this in mind when using older collections.
Subscriptions
Since the project is still evolving, we’re actively working on improvements and additional features.
For now, the only difference between subscription levels is the number of projects you can create and save.
That’s why Basic is the most sensible choice if you don’t need to store a large number of projects.
